Born 1885 – Died 1961
Sironi was born in Sassari, Sardinia. He studied in Rome and through Boccioni came into contact with the Futurists. He was later influenced by the Pittura Metafisica movement. A founder member of the Novecento group in 1922, he painted numerous frescoes, including those for the University of Rome.
