As part of their residency, Open House Artists in Residence, Wright & Vandame, invited the local community of North Cambridge to respond to themes around well-being throughout 2019.

Three community groups worked with illustrator and Kettle’s Yard Artist Facilitator, Rachel McGivern, to co-create a mindful activity book. Together they designed drawing activities which encourage us all to slow down, take some time, and pay attention to the world around us.

McGivern worked to design the activities alongside pupils at Arbury Primary school, young carers from Centre 33 and members and visitors to Cambridge African Network’s African Cultural event for Black History Month. The resulting publication was shared with visitors to Meeting Ground, a two week installation and programme of events devised by Wright & Vandame at Nuns Way Pavilion, Kings Hedges in February 2020.
